METLEN is calling for another year on young engineering graduates to participate in the 9th cycle of the “Engineers in Practice” program. This is a paid internship lasting one year, which operates as a high-level “school,” offering participants the opportunity to apply in practice the knowledge they acquired during their studies. Following the program’s expansion last year, the initiative is being implemented for the second consecutive year not only in Greece but also in England and Italy, giving participants valuable international experience.
METLEN Energy & Metals: 9th cycle of “Engineers in Practice” program empowers new generation of engineers
The “Engineers in Practice” program started in 2014 in Greece and, over more than ten years, has evolved into an institution. To date, eight cycles have been completed with absolute success, as all participants found employment within less than three months, while several were integrated into METLEN’s workforce taking on permanent positions. In total, more than 260 young engineers participated in the first eight cycles. Of all those who have gone through the program, 125 remain with the company to this day, even ten years later, confirming its long-term value.
Through their participation, young engineers are called upon to respond to complex projects and develop skills that will accompany them throughout their professional careers. In this way, METLEN has evolved into a reference point for those seeking to take their first steps with security, prospects, and inspiring challenges. Moreover, the satisfaction rate in their evaluations remains consistently high above 90%.
