Piraeus Bank, within the framework of the EQUALL – For a Society of Equal People program, continues to steadily implement the successful Women Founders and Makers, Women Back to Work, and Women in Agriculture initiatives, which are part of the Gender Equality pillar. It is noteworthy that since March 2022, when the Bank launched the EQUALL program, 2,049 women have benefited from these initiatives.
Applications for the 8th cycle of the Women Founders and Makers and Women Back to Work initiatives, as well as for the 7th cycle of Women in Agriculture, implemented in collaboration with 100mentors, have already begun and will remain open until October 23, 2025.
The EQUALL corporate responsibility program – For a Society of Equal People has been implemented continuously since 2022 and reflects Piraeus Bank’s strategic commitment to actively participate in society through long-term initiatives that respond to Greek society’s needs for sustainable development and progress. It includes actions that promote gender equality, eliminate gender stereotypes, and support children, youth, and vulnerable social groups.
The Gender Equality pillar of EQUALL includes the following initiatives:
Women Founders and Makers
Targeted at all women who have created or wish to develop their own business activity and seek relevant training and specialized support.
The program lasts three months and consists of two components:
a) Training (Learning by studying) totaling 38 hours, divided into 5 modules, and
b) Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Skills and Mentoring (Learning by doing), for developing participants’ horizontal skills, personalized guidance, and deepening their knowledge through communication with experienced mentors and generative artificial intelligence machines (GenAI).
Additionally, with a focus on promoting women’s equal access to business activity, the Bank offers exclusively for women entrepreneurs the “Piraeus EQUALL 360°,” a comprehensive package of products and services with special pricing and benefits.
Women Back to Work

a) Training (Learning by studying) totaling 32 hours, divided into 4 modules, and
b) Generative Artificial Intelligence Skills and Mentoring (Learning by doing), for developing participants’ horizontal skills and effective interaction with Generative Artificial Intelligence, as well as personalized guidance from a specially trained mentor community.
Women in Agriculture
Targeted at all women who are active or plan to start their own business in the agricultural sector.
The program lasts three months and consists of two components:
a) Training (Learning by studying) and experiential learning, totaling 26 hours. The topics covered relate to agricultural digitization, entrepreneurship, and transition to green agriculture. Additionally, it includes sector-specific training with topics according to participants’ interests and activity sectors. Within the training framework, live sessions (experiential learning) are also conducted with farmers presenting best practices of their cultivation and/or business, and
b) Generative Artificial Intelligence Skills and Mentoring (Learning by doing), of equal duration to the training, for developing participants’ horizontal skills, personalized guidance, and deepening their knowledge through communication with experienced mentors, professors, and professionals in the agri-food sector, as well as GenAI machines.
In all the above initiatives, Mentoring and Skill Development using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) were designed and implemented in collaboration with 100mentors. Additionally, training modules are developed and conducted in collaboration with Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece, and the American Farm School for women agricultural entrepreneurs.
Profession has no Gender
Contributing to Gender Equality enhancement since 2022 is the Profession has no Gender program, which is part of the New Generation pillar and implemented in collaboration with The Tipping Point.
It targets students in public elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Greece and aims to raise awareness among the new generation regarding career choice in relation to gender stereotypes that are reproduced and function as obstacles to their choices about the profession they wish to pursue. In this context, students connect with mentors from Greece and abroad who work in professions stereotypically associated with the opposite gender.
Particularly encouraging is the fact that from 2022 when it began until 2024, a total of 6,753 primary and secondary education students participated in the program. The educational program continues for the 2025/2026 school year with the goal of reaching an additional 3,500 students.
