The EuroLeague, Europe’s premier club basketball competition, is gearing up for its first “Devil’s Week,” and together with the EuroCup tipoff featuring Aris and PAOK, as well as the Athinaikos Qualco tournament, it promises unmissable moments on the Novasports channels!
Greece’s two EuroLeague representatives — reigning European champion Olympiacos and seven-time winner Panathinaikos AKTOR — dive into the battles of Matchdays 2 and 3. Georgios Bartzokas’ side faces back-to-back away fixtures against Zalgiris Kaunas (Sep 20, 20:00) and Virtus Bologna (Oct 1, 21:30), while Zeljko Obradovic’s squad hosts Villeurbanne (Sep 30, 21:15) and Maccabi (Oct 2, 21:15). The ultimate basketball show, Playmakers, will deliver comprehensive coverage of all EuroLeague action with in-depth analysis and special guests.
The EuroCup tipoff has arrived, with Aris and PAOK — both significantly strengthened and brimming with ambition — ready to make their mark. Home games for both Thessaloniki clubs will be accompanied by Pre and Post Game Shows, while Playmakers will feature a dedicated segment tracking their progress. In the opening round, Vasilis Spanoulis’ Aris travels to face Le Mans (Sep 29, 21:00), while Andrea Trinchieri’s PAOK hosts Manresa at home (Sep 30, 19:30).
Athinaikos Qualco joins Europe’s elite with Women’s EuroLeague & 2nd Athens Cup
The heart of European women’s basketball beats again on Novasports channels, as Greek double champion Athinaikos Qualco returns to the continent’s elite. The team from Vyronas has secured direct entry into the Women’s EuroLeague group stage, where they will face Casademont Zaragoza (Spain), Basket Landes (France), and one additional team to emerge from the qualifying rounds. The top three teams in the group will advance to the second round of the competition. All of the team’s home games will be broadcast live on Novasports Start and through the official novasports.gr YouTube channel.
The action kicks off early with the 2nd Athens Cup, a top-tier European tournament running from September 28–30. Alongside Athinaikos, the tournament features USK Praha (Czech Republic), Rapid Bucharest (Romania), and Mechelen (Belgium). All matches will be broadcast live on Novasports 5.
