The Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning (INEDIVIM) has joined forces with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and HELLENiQ ENERGY as part of its strategic commitment to student welfare and its dedication to creating safe, functional, and welcoming living environments for students. Within the framework of this partnership, HELLENiQ ENERGY made a generous donation to fund the renovation and upgrade of equipment at the NTUA’s New Student Residences, making a tangible contribution to a more modern and functional living environment for the university’s students.
The donation for the NTUA’s new student residences
The donation to the National Technical University of Athens covers the layout, renovation, and functional furnishing of shared common areas across three buildings of the New Student Residences, in accordance with the needs and specifications set out by the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning (INEDIVIM).
In this context, the student residences are treated not merely as housing infrastructure, but as a vital part of the academic experience — one that requires ongoing quality improvements. These initiatives aim to create a safe, functional, and welcoming living environment, enhancing the quality of life for students and reinforcing the broader social role that student residences play within the educational ecosystem.
Who attended the signing ceremony
The protocol signing ceremony for the handover of the donation took place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in the presence of the President of the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning, Anna Rokofyllou; the Rector of NTUA, Professor Ioannis K. Hatzigeorgiou; and the Chief Executive Officer of HELLENiQ ENERGY, Andreas Siamisis, as well as the Vice Rector for Administrative Affairs and Student Welfare, Professor Panagiotis Psarrakos. Also in attendance were Professor Emmanouel Varvarigos, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Outreach at NTUA, and Professor Athanasios Zisis, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning.
Through this initiative, HELLENiQ ENERGY aims to improve student living conditions, with a particular focus on safety, dignity, and functionality.
This marks the third initiative HELLENiQ ENERGY has carried out in partnership with INEDIVIM, following similar projects at the student residences of major institutions including the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
During the ceremony, Andreas Siamisis was presented with the “Prometheus Pyrphoros” — the emblem of the National Technical University of Athens — as a token of recognition for HELLENiQ ENERGY’s contribution.
The NTUA’s New Student Residences represent a key student welfare infrastructure for the university. In operation since 2005, they are housed in a complex of 15 buildings on Kokkinopoulou Street, with all rooms made available exclusively to NTUA students. The residences are managed by INEDIVIM.
Anna Rokofyllou: Upgrading student welfare is a top priority for INEDIVIM
Speaking at the equipment handover ceremony, the President of the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning, Anna Rokofyllou, stated: “Upgrading student welfare is a top priority for INEDIVIM. In pursuit of this goal, we continuously seek ways to improve the daily lives of eligible students living in the student residences under our management. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to HELLENiQ ENERGY, which has once again demonstrated the corporate social responsibility and sensitivity that defines it, by making a significant donation toward the modernization and upgrade of the common areas at the NTUA’s New Student Residences.
This sponsorship makes a meaningful contribution to the renewal of equipment and the improvement of the functionality and quality of the residence spaces — creating modern, practical, and welcoming environments that enhance students’ everyday lives.
