Highway traffic increased during the first half of 2025 on the main highways operated by GEK TERNA. According to the group’s announcement, vehicle traffic on the Nea Odos and Kentriki Odos highways during the first half of 2025 showed a 7.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The total number of crossings reached 29.4 million.

On the Attiki Odos highway, the average daily traffic (ADT) reached 283,908 crossings, representing a 4.6% annual increase compared to the first half of 2024, with total crossings reaching 51.4 million.
It should be noted that according to the “Social-Economic Impact Assessment (SEIA) study of the Group for 2024,” GEK TERNA Group contributed €5.9 billion to GDP. According to the same research, the total GDP contribution for 2024 corresponds to 2.5% of the country’s total GDP. The €5.9 billion amount is, on average, approximately 2.3 times larger compared to the 2022-2023 period.
Additionally, the total impact on national public revenues reached €1.1 billion, an amount equivalent to 1.5% of the country’s total tax revenues for 2024, and 2.8 times more on average compared to the 2022-2023 period.
The Group’s direct impact on GDP approaches €4 billion. Furthermore, the Group’s extensive supply chain, which includes suppliers, service providers, and other partners, contributes an additional €1.3 billion through indirect effects. The total induced impact amounts to €624 million.
