Specifically, SKY express aircraft will operate routes to and from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, which is considered the best airport in the Middle East and the second best in the world. According to parapolitika.gr’s report, the Israel destination will be integrated into the company’s regular flight schedule, which will now count 27 international destinations and 33 domestic ones.
Strategic move in the tourism market by SKY express
This move demonstrates the continued rapid growth of SKY express on one hand, and sends an important message to Greek tourism on the other: that passenger flows from the Israeli market continue to exist despite current geopolitical tensions. We note that just a few days ago, SKY express had announced new flights to Madrid, Lisbon, Hamburg, Berlin and Lyon, with management maintaining a calm stance regarding geopolitical developments in the Middle East. In a broader context, the company estimates that by the end of the year, 5.5 million passengers will have traveled with the airline.
