Confirming its commitment to the value of social contribution, the OTE Group is implementing the COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS corporate volunteerism program. Specifically, the program includes more than 30 volunteer activities over the next year, which will strengthen the culture of service among OTE Group employees and multiply the positive impact on society and the environment as part of corporate social responsibility.
The COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS program was designed by the company to give OTE Group employees the opportunity to strengthen vulnerable groups through volunteer service, contribute to environmental protection, and raise awareness about the development opportunities that technology offers. The company’s management team actively participates alongside the large volunteer team in the program’s activities.

“Volunteerism is deeply rooted in our culture. Last year alone, more than 4,600 volunteer employees from the Group participated in volunteer activities, such as blood donations, beach cleanups from plastics, etc. With the COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS program, our corporate volunteer action and our contribution to society and the environment are enriched, also leveraging technology to enhance the effectiveness of our actions,” stated Mr. Dimitris Michalakas, Chief of Corporate Communications, Sustainability and Channel Productions of OTE Group.
On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, more than 25 volunteers together with Mr. Babis Mazarakis, Chief Financial Officer of OTE Group, visited Humanity Greece on December 5th to help with cooking and food distribution to vulnerable social groups. Additionally, a volunteer team together with Mr. Yannis Konstantinidis, Chief Officer of Strategic Transformation and Suppliers of OTE Group, organized a Christmas entertainment celebration for children supported by the Eleusis Love Center.
