A clear statement was made by Stefanos Tsitsipas’ lawyer, Thanasis Papathanasiou, regarding the €2,000 fine imposed after the Greek tennis star’s luxury car was recorded traveling at 210 km/h on Attiki Odos highway. The incident occurred on September 24 and was captured by cameras from the new surveillance system.
Tsitsipas case and the official clarification
According to the tennis player’s lawyer, the vehicle was indeed traveling at the excessive speed mentioned, but Tsitsipas himself was not the driver. Papathanasiou emphasized that the car was being driven by a third party and that all procedural matters have already been settled.
“Regarding the incident that became public, the car was driven by a third person. The matter of the fine and license submission have all been resolved,” the lawyer stated characteristically, according to reports by tennisnews.gr.
