An unexpected turn of events occurred during a routine traffic control in the early hours of Saturday (15/11) on the Athens Highway involving a well-known journalist, when police officers attempted to stop the vehicle she was traveling in for an alcohol test near Metamorfosi.
The driver of the vehicle, accompanied by the well-known journalist, initially did not comply with the signal and continued driving, resulting in police officers eventually immobilizing the vehicle at the intersection of Kymis and Kastamonhs streets, shortly before 03:00.
The journalist is known for her presence on Greek television and was formerly married to another well-known journalist from whom she is now divorced.

During the inspection, it was determined that the man was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a reading of 0.47 mg/l, which provoked an intense reaction from the journalist. According to reports, she began shouting, insulting and threatening the police officers, even recording video with her mobile phone and saying:
“I will destroy you – you’ll see what will happen to you”.
The journalist’s behavior led to her arrest for violence against public officials, insult, threat and disobedience, while the driver was arrested for drunk driving. The latter was fined 700 euros and had his license suspended for 90 days. The incident is now in the hands of the justice system, while footage from cameras and the video she recorded herself is being examined by the authorities.
