A preparatory meeting focused on addressing the water shortage problem in Attica was held on Friday (24/10) at the Maximos Mansion, chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The discussion among participants was based on the latest hydrological data, according to government sources.

During the meeting, absolute priority was given to protecting water as a public good. Immediate initiatives to prevent impending risks were put on the table, while announcements are expected in the coming weeks. It should be noted that the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, Minister of State Akis Skertsos and Environment Minister Stavros Papastavrou. Additionally, from EYDAP, Giorgos Stergiou and Haris Sachinis were present.
