The new footage adds to the ongoing revelations from the show surrounding the case that has shocked Messinia. After the marathon testimony of the two 22-year-olds accused of the murders, the investigating judge and prosecutor decided in the early hours of Monday (20/10) to remand them in custody.
At the same time, the new Live News video captures the car of the campsite owner’s nephew—who was also an eyewitness to the murders—heading towards the area. The footage shows the vehicle moving toward the campsite at 7:40 PM, shortly before the double murder that claimed the lives of the 68-year-old and the manager.
Double murder in Foinikounta: The differences between the 68-year-old’s two wills
Meanwhile, the two handwritten wills of the campsite owner are being investigated. According to Star information, both wills specify that the nephew inherits 51% of the campsite and the 36 acres of the campsite, the multipurpose building, the house and the 17 acres. However, with the new will he loses 50% of his uncle’s deposits which go to the manager.
The previous will also stated in point 4 that to an underage relative of the owner, he leaves a 50% share of olive groves covering 2.3 acres in the Kamaria location. This fourth clause has been removed from the new will. With the new will, the 2.3 acres now go to the manager. In the new will, the 68-year-old also specifies that if his nephew sells the campsite, the owner’s sister will receive 100,000 from 150,000 in the old will, his niece will receive nothing from the 200,000 she would have received in the old will, while his sister’s son will receive 100,000, the same as in the old will. In the new will, besides the 8.3 acres of land he inherits, he also gets the 2.3 acres that the owner’s underage relative loses and the 200,000 that the owner’s niece loses.
It’s worth noting that the current value of the owner’s estate, if sold, reaches 30 million euros. In fact, the only person who knew about the changes made in the new will was the nephew’s mother. The woman reportedly testified that three days before the double murder, the 68-year-old called her and told her that in the first will he left property to the nephew, niece and manager, and that in the second will he removed the niece and left only the nephew and manager, without her knowing exactly what he left to whom.
