A 50-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of his ex-girlfriend Garyfallia. The crime was committed in November 2024 in Patras, in the courtyard of a hotel. The defendant appeared today before the Court of Amaliada, facing charges of fatal intentional bodily harm.

The defense requested that two mitigating factors be recognized – his previously law-abiding life and sincere remorse – but this request was rejected by the court.
According to ERT, although the prosecutor recommended a 15-year prison sentence, the court ultimately sentenced the defendant to 18 years imprisonment.
