Betrayal and dark interests are denounced in a statement to parapolitika.gr by now independent MP Nikolaos Vrettos following his expulsion from “Victory“, accusing Dimitris Natsios of collaborating with a “shadow regime” and monopolistic interests.

In a harsh attack, MP for South Athens B3 constituency, Nikolaos Vrettos, speaks to parapolitika.gr about internal party practices that, as he claims, operate in favor of business and dark interests. Launching fierce criticism against Dimitris Natsios, Mr. Vrettos states that the president of “Victory” “acts under orders from a shadow administrative regime, which is why he compromises with securing state funding and removing distinguished and honest officials, keeping “VICTORY” at marginal percentages for parliamentary entry“.
The now independent MP declares that he considers it an honor the “attempt at his political elimination” and commits that he will never remain silent about Tempe, corruption and the “Turkification” policies of the homeland. And, as he says, as an independent MP he will work for the “restoration of national independence“, contributing to ending the vicious cycle of the post-dictatorship era.
It should be noted that Nikolaos Vrettos was expelled from “Victory” due to his decision to vote in favor of Andreas Nikolakopoulos as chairman of the investigative committee probing the OPEKEPE scandal, diverging from the party line. Thus, Dimitris Natsios’s “Victory” now remains with eight MPs.

“Our beloved “VICTORY” has been defeated. It was betrayed and surrendered to lawless, dark and business interests. When it has forced the departure or has proceeded to the “beheading” of 30% of its parliamentary group and has expelled the overwhelming majority of its officials, then the only certainty is that the shore is not crooked.
It is an open secret that Dimitris Natsios acts under orders from a shadow administrative regime. This is why he compromises with securing state funding and removing distinguished and honest officials, keeping “VICTORY” at marginal percentages for parliamentary entry.
In this sense, it is an honor for me the attempt at my political elimination and slandering of my personality by these interest-driven practices. In my life I learned to serve values and principles and not to instrumentalize faith and patriotism. This is why I will never remain silent about the crime of “Tempe“. I will never be silent in the face of monopolistic and oligarchic interests. I will not move even a millimeter away from defending our national sovereign rights. I will resist with all my strength the “Turkification” policies of our homeland.
As an independent MP I will work with unquenchable passion and uncompromising spirit to combat corruption, substantially upgrade justice as an independent self-governing institution and restore national independence, contributing to finally ending this vicious cycle of the “post-dictatorship era“.
