Shootings occurred in Athens after midnight on Sunday, causing alarm in the area. The incident happened approximately half an hour after midnight, when local residents notified the Police. Strong forces rushed to the scene immediately.

Police officers found a man seriously wounded in the abdominal area from gunfire, at the entrance of an apartment building. The victim was immediately transported to the “Red Cross” hospital, where he is being treated in critical condition.
So far, the victim’s identity has not been released, while authorities are investigating both his identity and the circumstances of the incident. The investigations continue.
