A case of sexual abuse of a minor is shocking the local community of Patras in recent hours, as authorities arrested a man accused of rape and indecent assault.

According to pelop.gr, police reports state that on Monday afternoon, the accused was at the home of a relative of the minor. Taking advantage of the moment when the girl was alone, he approached her and used physical violence to commit sexual acts against her.
The minor was examined by officers from the Crime Investigation Subdivision of Patras in the presence of a child psychiatrist, while a forensic medical examination has been ordered by the Forensic Medical Service of Patras. A felony case file was compiled against the arrested man, and he was brought before the Public Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Achaia for further proceedings.
