The Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance announced payments for September 2025 pensions, with a total amount exceeding 2.44 billion euros. The payments will be made from August 25 to 29, 2025, and will affect 4,322,897 beneficiaries across Greece.

e-EFKA payments for September 2025 pensions
The Electronic National Social Insurance Fund has scheduled extensive payments during the last week of August.
On August 25, 36.16 million euros will be distributed to 47,055 pensioners for retroactive payments, according to the provisions of article 34 of law 5018/2023.
The main and supplementary pensions for September 2025 will be paid in three phases: August 26, 28, and 29. The total amount reaches 2.34 billion euros for 4,217,481 beneficiaries.
Additionally, from August 25 to 29, 12.5 million euros will be distributed to 550 individuals for lump-sum benefits. On August 29, payment of 12 million euros is scheduled for 11,230 beneficiaries for contribution refunds for non-salaried workers with simultaneous salaried employment.
Payment schedule by insured category
The payment dates for September 2025 pensions follow the distinction between salaried and non-salaried insured individuals:
- Tuesday, August 26, 2025: Payment of main pensions from former non-salaried funds OAEE, OGA, and ETAA. Also, main pensions granted after the creation of EFKA with law 4387/2016 through OPS-EFKA for pensioners from January 1, 2017 onwards. All private sector supplementary pensions are included.
- Thursday, August 28, 2025: Distribution of main pensions from former salaried funds, including IKA-ETAM, banks, OTE, DEH, other integrated bodies, NAT, ETAT, and ETAP-MME. Simultaneously, main and supplementary pensions from the public sector will be paid.
DYPA benefits and allowances
The Public Employment Service will distribute a total of over 35.8 million euros during the same period:
• 19 million euros to 31,500 people for unemployment benefits and related allowances
• 1 million euros to 2,000 mothers for subsidized maternity leave
• 14 million euros to 13,000 beneficiaries through subsidized employment programs
• 1.8 million euros to 80 organizations for contributions to community benefit programs
• 83,000 euros to one beneficiary of the “My Home” housing program
In this way, millions of pensioners, unemployed individuals, mothers, and participants in employment programs will receive their expected payments in their bank accounts before the start of September.
