According to Ertnews, as referenced in the case file, the individuals held a lengthy conversation seated at a store table on which correspondence folders were visible, though their contents could not be determined.
Additionally, two other photographs depict close associates of the 57-year-old remanded businessman alongside local figures from Rhodes, whose potential involvement in the criminal network will be assessed during the investigation phase.
Greek FBI monitored organization members for 118 days
Greece’s FBI equivalent conducted surveillance on members of the criminal gang linked to the owner of the “Choriatiko” bakery chain for 118 consecutive days, accumulating hundreds of photographs in the process. These documents are included in the massive case file, which exceeds 4,000 pages.
The physical surveillance carried out by officers from the Sub-Directorate for Combating Human and Goods Trafficking of the Greek FBI began on May 21 and concluded on September 15, 2026. The surveillance footage clearly shows attempts to conceal evidence and staged “relocations,” which began following instructions from the 57-year-old “Boss” last May, after he was tipped off by a uniformed officer about the ongoing police investigation into his business activities.
The 57-year-old ringleader was arrested at the last moment in Ioannina, as he was planning to flee to Dubai via Albania in order to evade capture by Greek police authorities.
