The official statement from the Sani/Ikos Group
The Sani/Ikos Group says farewell, with profound sadness, to Niki Manou-Andreadis — a distinguished architect and academic whose vision, creativity, and timeless contribution played a defining role in shaping the identity and journey of the Group.
Niki Manou-Andreadis had a deep and enduring connection to Sani. Alongside her husband, Stavros Andreadis, and the Andreadis family, she played a pivotal role in transforming it into an internationally recognized destination.
As lead architect during a critical period of Sani Resort’s development, she made a fundamental contribution to forging a new approach to hospitality — one in which architecture, the natural environment, and the guest experience are inseparably intertwined. Her contribution to the creation and growth of Ikos Resorts, and to shaping their distinctive identity, was equally decisive. She designed the first Ikos Resort, Ikos Olivia, as well as Ikos Dassia, Ikos Aria, and Ikos Odisia, oversaw the renovation of Ikos Oceania, and designed Ikos Kissamos in Crete.
Her remarkable body of work left an indelible mark on the evolution of Sani and, more broadly, on the entire journey of the Sani/Ikos Group.
Together with Stavros Andreadis, Niki also played a catalytic role in the birth of the Sani Festival, born from their shared love of jazz, music, and culture. In the decades that followed, the Festival grew into one of Greece’s most important cultural institutions, earning widespread international recognition.
At the same time, Niki Manou-Andreadis forged a distinguished path in both the architectural and academic communities. A graduate of Civil Engineering and Architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she held a doctorate from the Polytechnic School and served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture. Through her teaching, she influenced and inspired generations of younger architects.
For all of us at the Sani/Ikos Group, Niki Manou-Andreadis leaves behind a precious legacy — not only through her work and creative vision, but through her humanity. Her warmth, grace, and generosity touched all those who had the privilege of knowing her and working alongside her. Her profound love for architecture, culture, and the arts will remain an inseparable part of our history and identity for generations to come.
Our thoughts are with Stavros, her son Tasos, the Andreadis family, and all those who knew and loved her. We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences.
