Karystianou fires back at Georgiadis over biofeedback machine controversy

The president of Elpida for Democracy launched a fierce attack against Adonis Georgiadis, who revealed that a biofeedback machine had been detected at Karystianou’s medical practice through the Medwatch monitoring system. In essence, Ms. Karystianou is taking the same line as her close associate Maria Gratsia, who spoke earlier on Open TV. In a press release published in the third person, she stops short of answering whether she actually possesses the disputed device, instead claiming that she is being targeted in order to “damage her outstanding professional career.”

Karystianou to Georgiadis: “Members of your government who are drowning in the sheer number of buried criminal case files on their backs”

“Every inspection is welcome. For everyone, however, Mr. Georgiadis. And first and foremost for the members of your government, who are drowning in the sheer number of buried criminal case files on their backs,” reads Karystianou’s press release, in which she responds to the allegations without providing clear answers. At the same time, she calls on the Health Minister to disclose whether criminal and disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the public regulatory bodies that inspected her Kolonaki clinic on Karneadou Street four times and found nothing, to reveal which medical services companies Medical Association President Georgios Patoulis has been involved with, and to publicly name every medical practice identified by Medwatch. She concluded with a sharp broadside against Mr. Georgiadis.

The Health Minister, Adonis Georgiadis:
The man we all remember for having his Novartis case file archived, despite unexplained transactions in personal and family bank accounts, as well as in accounts belonging to companies in which he held interests!
Who, beyond being a bookseller, also praised and sold nano-vests for pain relief and lower back pain treatment — at €119 a piece, no less!
Who brazenly declared, regarding the crimes reported against his government, that “we will decide whether we are guilty or not”!
Who, despite being Health Minister, had inaugurated — alongside Athens Medical Association President Georgios Patoulis — a longevity, anti-ageing, and wellness clinic!

Who, on 22 September on MEGA’s show Smile Again, speaking about medical practices, said:

IN THE GENERAL CHAOS THAT EXISTS IN THIS COUNTRY, NOBODY WAS DEALING WITH THIS!

Yes, this is the Health Minister who shamelessly asks journalists on air whether they had a smoke before their show — and now he is trying to damage Maria Karystianou as a physician, deliberately targeting her outstanding professional career.

This is the Mitsotakis government.
Anyone it cannot confront with political arguments — which it clearly lacks, being exposed on all fronts — it mobilises “the system,” including the media, to make them disappear. By any means necessary.
We await Mr. Georgiadis to stop dodging the issue and answer us:

1. Whether criminal and disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the public regulatory bodies that inspected the medical practice of Messrs. Gakas and Theodoropoulos four times and found nothing — leaving them free to operate it undisturbed and even promote it at the 1st International Health Tourism Conference, which was attended by Mr. Patoulis as well as the then Health Minister, Mr. Plevris, with whom both doctors had jointly established an association — the “HELLENIC MEDICO-LEGAL COUNCIL.”
2. Which medical services companies Athens Medical Association President Georgios Patoulis has been involved with.
3. And, of course, to publicly disclose — with full names and details — every medical practice identified by their belated initiative, Medwatch, with the same level of detail they took such targeted care to provide regarding the President of our movement, Maria Karystianou.

Every inspection is welcome. For everyone, however, Mr. Georgiadis.
And first and foremost for the members of your government, who are drowning in the sheer number of buried criminal case files on their backs.
