Dmitry Medvedev launched a fierce attack against Friedrich Merz, calling the German chancellor a “pathetic disgrace” and “the worst chancellor Germany has ever had,” while urging German citizens to “get rid of him.” The Russian official unleashed the attack in a post in which he harshly criticized Merz’s positions on Russia and Ukraine.
“Merz is a pathetic disgrace. His neo-Nazism, Russophobia, and Ukraine obsession have made him the worst chancellor Germany has ever had. Even Scholz looks better by comparison,” Medvedev wrote. He then addressed German citizens directly, adding: “Germans, get rid of him before he drags you into war with Russia. And you know the consequences of such a war.”
