New evidence is coming to light in the horrifying Kypseli case, as sources report that the 43-year-old man found with a dead infant denied being Greek and on at least one occasion presented himself as Turkish. It is recalled that the 43-year-old, his 38-year-old German partner, and the 26-year-old Afghan man — the partner of the 15-year-old girl the couple presented as their daughter — were remanded in custody following their depositions. The defendants denied trafficking narcotics, claiming they were merely users, but their statements failed to convince the examining magistrate and the prosecutor.

Kypseli: The 43-year-old posed as Turkish — why the family moved homes every month
According to Star, although the 43-year-old was highly active online and particularly on social media, in his daily life he deliberately sought to remain unnoticed. To that end, he and his family relocated almost every month, especially whenever something occurred that could draw unwanted attention. Notably, just one month before moving to Kypseli, the couple had been living on Fylis Street. However, a fire broke out in that apartment, prompting the fire brigade to respond. Firefighters found unusual conditions inside the home, and according to Star, the 43-year-old told them he was a Turkish visitor in order to avoid raising suspicion. The fire had been caused when one of the children threw a cigarette into a rubbish bag. Despite this, the 43-year-old lied to his neighbors, claiming the fire started because he had been cooking something.
Kypseli: Mystery of the “invisible” infant in the couple’s photographs
Questions surrounding the horrifying dead infant case in Kypseli continue to mount, as photographs found in the couple’s possession show yet another baby. No one knows whether this is the infant discovered in the freezer or another child whose whereabouts remain unknown. Specifically, a photograph captioned “family moments” shows the couple together with their three minor children. Everyone in the photo is gathered around a pram, inside which a baby of just a few months old can be seen. The photograph in question was posted on December 31, 2021 — well before the date on which the 38-year-old claimed to have given birth to the infant found dead. That same year, the 38-year-old had also shared other posts featuring a baby, including a photograph published in 2017 captioned “our little angel, Leonidas.”
Kypseli: Children’s testimony seen as key to cracking the case
The family’s two minor boys, aged 9 and 12, have been transferred from the Children’s Hospital to a dedicated child welfare facility. In the coming days, a formal examination process is expected to begin in the presence of child psychologists. However, the 15-year-old girl is not yet able to give testimony, as she is currently suffering from drug withdrawal syndrome and is under close medical supervision.
