The trial of the husband of a well-known journalist and TV presenter has been postponed to August 27 at the Athens Single-Member Misdemeanor Court, where he faces charges of domestic violence and simple bodily harm committed in the presence of a minor.
The defendant’s defense counsel requested a three-day postponement, which the court granted. As part of the ruling, the presenter’s husband was released from custody on the condition that he relocate to another residence until the case is heard.
The journalist’s attorney informally advised the court that a withdrawal of the complaint is being considered, as no physical injury was sustained. The couple have since spoken, and there is said to be no ongoing threat or danger.

Despite reports of aggressive behavior on the part of the presenter’s husband, no injuries were recorded.
Following the complaint filed by the TV presenter, police arrested her husband under the flagrante delicto procedure, and a case file was opened against him on charges of domestic violence. According to police sources, a formal criminal complaint was submitted by the experienced journalist.
As a result, the arrested man was expected to be brought before the court at the former Evelpidon Law Courts on Tuesday afternoon to face the flagrante delicto proceedings.
