The owner of the beach bar in Paros, where a 4-year-old child drowned in the establishment’s pool, has been released without charge as authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. According to preliminary inquiry findings, the incident occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. The child was at the venue with his parents, aged 38 and 39, when, for reasons still unknown, he wandered away from their supervision and made his way toward the pool.
As established through the police investigation, minors who were present at the venue noticed the child had fallen into the pool and alerted a member of the beach bar’s staff. The bartender rushed to the scene and pulled the child from the water. The 4-year-old was subsequently transported by ambulance to the Paros Health Centre, where, according to official notification, his death was confirmed.
