A new tragedy has struck the Panagiouda–Moria road, at almost the exact same spot where a deadly road accident claimed the lives of two young men just last May, once again plunging Lesbos into deep grief. According to initial reports cited by stonisi.gr, a private vehicle veered off the road and overturned, resulting in the deaths of two women who were passengers in the car.

Police units and EKAB ambulances rushed to the scene immediately. However, it was already too late for the two women, as their deaths were pronounced on the spot.
