Anthony Albanese, the Prime Minister of Australia, found himself at the center of a firestorm after being pressed with provocative questions during a comedic interview with comedian Nikki Osborne — questions about which celebrities he would date, sleep with, or marry. The relentless pressure caused the PM to lose his composure, ultimately stating he would do all three with iconic pop star Kylie Minogue, triggering a wave of public outrage.

“I’ve only been married six months”
“I just got married — I’ve only been married six months,” the Australian Prime Minister told comedian Nikki Osborne, who continued to press him nonetheless, presenting him with a series of celebrity choices including Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Rhonda Burchmore. Anthony Albanese then replied, “Kylie, obviously — she’s amazing.” As if that weren’t enough, the uncomfortable questions kept coming, with the comedian asking whether he and his wife, Jodie Haydon, “do it like rabbits” — to which he jokingly responded, “when we have the time.”
The apology that followed the backlash
The Australian Prime Minister’s remarks sparked sharp criticism, with members of parliament describing his comments as “completely inappropriate,” while others argued they showed “disrespect toward women” and “undermined the dignity of the office of Prime Minister.” In a formal statement released by his office, Albanese issued an unequivocal apology for his comments.
What the heck!?
The Australian Prime Minister says he’d rather “shag” Kylie Minogue than Nicole Kidman.
Albanese was asked: “You’d marry Kylie? And shag her? And date her?”
“All of the above,” the PM replied.
