Meanwhile, police authorities continue their investigation to clarify all aspects of the case, which has caused intense concern and anxiety in public opinion. The 65-year-old partner of the woman, who has been arrested for the double murder, continues to deny any involvement in the crime. “I am innocent, I loved my wife and my son very much,” the Italian defendant said on the show “Truths with Zina”.

Crucial to the investigation’s progress is the testimony of the person who received the first phone call from the 65-year-old Italian just minutes after discovering the victims. The witness described receiving an intensely charged call shortly before midnight. As he reported, he heard the man repeatedly shouting his name and urgently calling him to the house, without explaining what had happened.
“I was worried because Maria had recently undergone surgery and I feared something had happened to her health,” he said characteristically. When he arrived at the house, he found the man in a state of shock. According to his testimony, he repeatedly asked where the woman’s son was, who had been staying there in recent days, without receiving a clear answer. He then followed the Italian into the house and they headed toward the young man’s room. There he witnessed a scene that, as he said, would haunt him forever.
“I saw the young man on the bed and behind the door Maria fallen on the floor. There were broken objects and stains that looked like blood. I started shouting her name, but there was no reaction,” he described. According to his testimony, it was the Italian partner who told him the woman was dead. They immediately called the ambulance and police.

However, the 54-year-old’s sister, who spoke on “Truths with Zina,” conveyed a completely different picture. According to her, the 65-year-old had a 20-year relationship with her sister and had never given them any reason for concern. He treated the 54-year-old well and she never expected he would harm her. “I want to look him in the eyes and ask him why he did it,” she said. The funerals of mother and son will take place Saturday morning.
