According to Turkish media reports, the couple began arguing for unknown reasons, with the man threatening his wife that he would kill their child. He then grabbed their 3-year-old daughter and held her dangling from the window, while passersby shouted for him to release her.
The man even brandished a knife, showing it conspicuously to the crowd below. Police forces and negotiators rushed to the scene. Authorities stormed the apartment and subdued the perpetrator, freeing the little girl. The child was taken to the hospital for precautionary examinations. The man was arrested and criminal charges were filed against him.
