European prosecutor collaborator and former OPEKEPE director Paraskeyi Tycheropoylou has denounced a smear campaign against her using fabricated evidence by former OPEKEPE president Kyriakos Babasidis. In a statement titled “Complaint about new smear campaign and fabrication of incriminating evidence” delivered through her lawyer Antonis Vagianos, Tycheropoylou refers to “another ‘execution contract’ that the criminal organization around OPEKEPE appears to be executing through the Economic Crime Prosecution Subdirectorate” and “unsubstantiated claims about ‘hidden’ decisions in the closet and allegedly illegal decisions“.

Complaint about new smear campaign and fabrication of incriminating evidence.
At this moment, another attempt to smear and entrap me is underway, another “execution contract” that the criminal organization around OPEKEPE appears to be executing through the Economic Crime Prosecution Subdirectorate.
This scheme utilizes fabricated evidence manufactured against me by former president Babasidis and the managerial staff of the former OPEKEPE who collaborated with him and have been transferred to positions of responsibility at AADE.
Regarding the unsubstantiated claims about “hidden” decisions in my closet and allegedly illegal decisions of mine, the truth and the extent of the scheme is revealed by the following, which is already known to the prosecuting authorities and I am forced to mention publicly today for my protection:
1st The judicial bailiff himself, who was called by the Babasidis administration to open my closet, where the “hidden” documents I am accused of were supposedly found, certifies verbatim that: “we entered office 503, on the 5th floor, where Ms. Paraskeyi Tycheropoylou maintained an office, the closet with number 12, WHICH I FOUND OPEN (!!!!). TO MY QUESTION ‘WHO OPENED THE CLOSET’ MR. BABASIDIS ANSWERED THAT IT WAS OPENED BY HIS ORDER, IN THE PRESENCE OF A LOCKSMITH AND IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ABOVE” (4 OPEKEPE staff members are mentioned). It is obvious that organization staff, while having already called the judicial bailiff, took care to violate my closet earlier and alter its contents, in order to “plant” evidence for impression purposes. I have already filed a lawsuit for this illegal violation, as the closet contained, apart from my personal items, confidential documents from the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
2nd In a dialogue from 21.10.2024, included in the case file sent to Parliament by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, Babasidis confesses to G. Xyloyris that an OPEKEPE staff member had already seen “secretly and stealthily” the contents of my closet at least 4 days before its supposed opening by the judicial bailiff. In the same dialogue, the admission of scheming is cynical, with references to “bombs” that will explode in the air to “finish them off”.
From the above, it emerges beyond any doubt that the contents of my closet invoked by Babasidis is the content that he himself, with the complicity of other OPEKEPE staff, shaped through arbitrary addition and removal of documents. The video circulating with the supposed opening of my closet concerns the staged cutting with a grinder of the padlock that Babasidis himself had placed after violating my closet.
3rd Regarding the 12 hierarchical appeals I supposedly “hid”, these are decisions that bore regular protocol numbers, were in the Administration Office and were fully known to the service. These decisions concerned the vindication of LEGAL producers, who submitted numerous documents, such as E9 forms, lease agreements and sworn statements, which documented the legal possession of their agricultural plots. These decisions were signed, besides me, by two of my subordinates as well as the then president of the organization. Nevertheless, Mr. Babasidis exercised disciplinary prosecution and filed a lawsuit only against me for this case.
4th The most outrageous thing is that one of these decisions HAD BEEN ACCEPTED WITH THE SIGNATURE OF BABASIDIS HIMSELF! Despite this fact, Mr. Babasidis filed a lawsuit against me claiming that my acceptance of it was illegal (!!!), concealing that he himself had co-signed the relevant decision. Indeed, in the case file sent to Parliament by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, there is a dialogue between Mr. Babasidis and an OPEKEPE executive staff member (who today maintains his responsibilities at AADE) in which their attempt to hide his signature is revealed with the aim of misleading the authorities and incriminating me.
This dialogue, which I quote in full as it has been published to make clear the extent of the audacity and criminal planning, is as follows:
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: […] Only G [the producer’s name is mentioned] is an issue now, I don’t know.
Staff member: It doesn’t matter, don’t worry about it.
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: How do you justify “don’t worry about it”?
Staff member: Because it has your signature?
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: Eh? Yes.
Staff member: We’ll put the draft, we won’t put the original. (note: meaning in the lawsuit that Babasidis actually filed against me, in which he accuses me of illegally accepting supposedly hierarchical appeals, including that of the specific producer…)
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: Yes but since it says original inside, doesn’t it say so in the list?
Staff member: (Incomprehensible content) okay.
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: How should I do it?
Staff member: We’ll fix it. Kyriakos, we’ll fix it. Let’s put it like that. We’ll include G. We wrote him down, you can’t not write him down.
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: (Incomprehensible content).
Staff member: We wrote him down okay but we’ll have the exact copy inside from now on, don’t worry. Your signature doesn’t appear anywhere.
BABASIDIS Kyriakos: Anyway.”
All of the above is known to the prosecuting authorities and allows any person of good faith to diagnose the extent of the fabrication against me. The fact, however, that according to reports the Economic Crime Prosecution Subdirectorate reproduces the above manufactured accusations, is a fact that should worry every democratic citizen, especially one day after the collapse of a similarly inspired conspiracy against unionist Mr. Kostas Anestidis.
It should be noted that in a few days, the second-instance trial of one of the most serious cases around the OPEKEPE scandal begins, in which I have been called to testify as a witness. It is reminded that the same attempt to delegitimize and incriminate me had been schemed through corresponding prosecutions against me before the start of the same trial in first instance.
