The special electronic platform for child benefit is open again for new applications starting today, Friday (29/05). Eligible beneficiaries who didn’t manage to submit their application can now do so and claim both the 3rd installment of the benefit as well as retroactive payments for the 1st and 2nd installments.
Child benefit: How the eligible amount will be calculated
The eligible amount will be calculated based on the dependent children declared in the A21 application for the year 2026 and the total family income that beneficiaries had during the 2024 tax year.
The electronic platform A21 – Child Benefit for submitting applications for the year 2026 opens today at 08:00 and will remain active until July 10 at 18:00. Beneficiaries of the A21 child benefit will be able to submit their application or modify existing ones on the platform https://www.idika.gr/epidomapaidiou/ or by using their personal access codes on Taxisnet.
Among the prerequisites that will be checked for granting the child benefit are:
the attendance of dependent children in compulsory education – from pre-kindergarten to middle school – as well as
adequate school attendance.
In the A21 application, the following must be entered in the relevant fields:
the details of the School Unit,
the grade and Registration Number of the child attending compulsory education.
If all the student’s details are cross-referenced successfully, the application can proceed normally. If they cannot be cross-referenced, a relevant notice appears and the applicant is asked to attach the necessary supporting document to the electronic A21 application. To complete the application, it must be submitted definitively. An application that has been temporarily saved is considered not submitted and will not be taken into account.
