Patras: Police examining possible racist motive in the attack
Particular attention is being given to allegations that during the attack, the perpetrators caused burns to the minor by extinguishing a cigarette on his body. Additionally, derogatory comments based on the child’s nationality were reportedly made, an element being examined by authorities as a possible racist motive.
Greek Police have identified a 19-year-old as involved in the case, while a case file has been formed and forwarded to the Patras District Attorney. Investigations continue to locate the remaining three perpetrators allegedly involved in the attack.
