The plenary session of Parliament is scheduled to discuss in late May the proposals submitted by PASOK and SYRIZA with New Left for the establishment of a preliminary investigative committee concerning former Minister of Rural Development Spilios Libanos and former Deputy Minister of Rural Development Foteini Arampatzi.
According to statements made by Nikitas Kaklamanis to parliamentary reporters, the exact date for the discussion will be finalized at the upcoming meeting of the Conference of Presidents.
Regarding the discussion of PASOK’s proposal for establishing an investigative committee on wiretapping, the Parliament Speaker will recommend it takes place as soon as possible, following the discussion on establishing the preliminary committee.
Finally, concerning the revision of Parliament’s Rules of Procedure, the Parliament President has sent letters to all 297 MPs requesting they submit their observations and proposals for its revision by June 30th.
