COOKIES POLICY

The Company may collect identification data of Website users, using corresponding technologies, such as “cookies” and/or tracking Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

(i) A “cookie” is a small text file, which contains an identification code (a sequence of numbers and letters) and which has been sent from a server to a browser where it is stored. Each time the browser requests a page from the server, the identification code is sent back to it. Cookies are stored by your Browser on the computer, tablet, mobile phone and generally on the device with which you browse the Website.

Cookies are stored on each user’s hard disk, but they do not gain knowledge of any document or file from their computer, as they are used exclusively and only to facilitate user access, regarding the use of specific services and/or pages of the Website, for statistical purposes, to display advertisements, for analysis and extraction of relevant statistics, to ensure high performance during the operation of our website (e.g., correct, continuous and uninterrupted operation). Cookies can be either permanent or relate to a single session (connection). Permanent cookies are stored by the browser and remain active either until their expiration date or until the user deletes them. Those that relate to a single session expire with the end of the session, as soon as the browser is deactivated (closed).

The following types of cookies are used on the Website:

Ø “browsing” cookies which are temporary cookies that remain in the cookies folder in the browser for as long as the user is connected to the Website and

Ø “persistent” cookies – these remain in the browser’s cookies folder for a longer period (depending on the lifetime of the specific cookie).

Browsing cookies are used to improve the user’s navigation on the Website and to collect aggregate statistical information. This aggregate statistical information is used for internal use purposes only by the Company and will not be transmitted to third parties. Persistent cookies are used on the Website to store information on the user’s computer for various purposes, indicatively for retrieving specific information, that the user has provided previously (e.g., password details), for determining the areas of the Website that users find most interesting and shaping the Website according to user preferences. This data may also include the type of browser the user uses, the type of computer, its operating system, internet service providers and other such information. Additionally, the Website’s information system automatically collects information about the locations the user visits and about links to third-party sites that may be selected through use of the Website. The Website user can set their internet browsing program (web browser) in such a way that it either warns them about the use of cookies in specific services, or does not allow acceptance of cookies in any case. In case the user of the specific services and pages does not wish to use cookies for their identification, they cannot have further access to these services.

(ii) Regarding tracking Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, each User’s computer receives an IP address, each time they access the Internet. Through this, the User’s computer can receive and send data. Generally, each time the User connects to the Internet, the User’s IP address changes. However, under some conditions (e.g., with some broadband connections) the User’s IP address becomes stable. A stable IP address can be correlated with the specific User’s computer and consequently can lead to personal information about the User (web log information is non-personal information collected by the computer hosting the website each time someone visits it). The Company, or its authorized representatives, use the User’s IP address and/or web log information, exclusively and only to collect and report aggregate information about how the Website is used, in which areas there are more frequent visits (popularity index) and generally how the Website can be improved, so as to offer the best possible experience to the User.

5.1. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY AND COOKIES POLICY

We may modify the information contained in this Privacy and Cookies Policy, when and whenever we deem it necessary. In case we do so, we will notify you in various ways through the Platform (for example, through a banner, a pop-up window or a push notification), when the said change is significant for your privacy, so that you can review the changes, evaluate them and, where appropriate, object or unsubscribe from a service or function. In any case, we suggest that you check this Privacy and Cookies Policy from time to time, in case we make small changes or introduce some interactive improvement, taking advantage of the possibility that you will always find it as a permanent information point on the Website.
