Authorities in Crete were alerted on Thursday afternoon, April 16th, after a man was found dead in a cave in the Falassarna area. The victim was a man, approximately 45-50 years old, who according to reports, was involved in winter swimming.

Police investigation at Falassarna
Police officers from the Kissamos Police Station immediately rushed to the scene where the man’s body was found to investigate the circumstances of his death and conduct an on-site examination. So far, according to flashnews.gr, there are no signs of criminal activity.
An autopsy will determine whether the unfortunate man’s death was caused by medical reasons. It was noted that the man was found without clothing.
