The United States Permanent Representative to NATO, Ambassador Matthew G. Whitaker, made an official visit to Greece in recent days. The American official also visited Chania, specifically the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC) in Marathi. The US Ambassador to NATO was accompanied by Ambassador ret. Michel Spinellis, General Director of National Defense Policy & International Relations (GDNDPIR), Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, H.E. Ambassador Vasiliki Gounari, Greece’s Permanent Representative to NATO, the Defense Attaché of the US Embassy in Greece, Captain Mark Imblum USA-N, and Christopher Dostal, Deputy Political Advisor.
