Major chaos erupted today (27/2) in the area of Aigaleo on Thiva Avenue, when a truck went on a wild rampage, dragging three cars and four motorcycles in its path. parapolitika.gr secured another video from this spectacular yet terrifying incident showing the critical moments when the truck driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to cross from the Peristeri-bound lane into the opposite Piraeus-bound direction.
The truck ultimately dragged down a traffic light and a sign, crashed into a passenger car carrying a couple, displaced the vehicle and swept away four small motorcycles as well as a pharmacy sign, before ending its wild course by crashing into two parked cars. Fortunately, all three people involved in the accident emerged unharmed with only minor scratches. They were transported to Attiko Hospital as a precautionary measure.
Three injured in Thiva Avenue crash
From the violent collision, three people were injured and transported to Attiko Hospital, with no life-threatening conditions. Due to the crash, major traffic congestion occurred at the scene, as a traffic light was destroyed. The location on Thiva Avenue resembled a “bombed landscape” after the collision, with damaged vehicles and debris scattered over a large area from everything the commercial truck dragged in its path. Traffic police are investigating the causes of the traffic accident and what led the driver to lose control.
