The death of a man who was found on the roadway of the National Highway near Agioi Theodoroi appears to be suicide. According to journalistic sources, police have video footage showing the man driving on an overpass, stopping his vehicle, getting out, and jumping into the void.
The incident occurred at the 67th kilometer of the Athens-Corinth National Highway in the direction toward Corinth, and as determined, the victim was a 78-year-old resident of Ilion, Attica.
Police were alerted this morning when the “100” emergency call center was notified about the presence of the body on the National Highway. Police officers and a medical examiner immediately rushed to the scene to clarify the cause of the man’s death.
