A new special operation across the entire Attica basin was carried out from the early morning hours of Friday (23/01) until the early hours of Monday (26/01), as part of targeted actions and traffic controls by the Attica Traffic Directorate to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police officers from the Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Teams (O.E.P.T.A.) and Traffic Departments of the Attica Traffic Directorate participated in the operation.
During this operation, 23,010 checks were conducted and 246 violations for driving under the influence of alcohol were documented, while 10 drivers under the influence of alcohol with readings above 0.60 mg/l were arrested.
Checks for preventing driving under the influence of alcohol will continue with undiminished intensity, emphasizes the Greek Police.
