Specifically, the fatal crash occurred on Saturday evening (24/01) at Patras Beach, on the old national road, when the car they were traveling in collided with a traffic light, causing it to be completely destroyed.

Fire department forces and an ambulance from the National Emergency Medical Service rushed to the scene. The young people were freed from the wreckage unconscious and were then urgently transported to the nearest hospital, where their deaths were confirmed.
Second accident: truck collides with motorcycle
Earlier, on Saturday morning (24/01), another fatal traffic accident occurred on the Rio-Antirrio bridge, when a truck collided with a motorcycle under circumstances that remain unclear.
The 25-year-old driver of the motorcycle died, losing his life on the asphalt.
