“I have nothing to do with money laundering, I went with my face and my name and bought a car. I did it as a favor,” said the alleged accomplice in the murder of the surveyor in Psychiko in July 2024 during his testimony. “My lawyer told me we’ll discuss everything in court. Sit and think about whether you’re involved or not,” the defendant stated.

Psychiko surveyor murder trial: Alleged accomplice’s testimony
This is how the 48-year-old alleged accomplice in the murder attempted to explain how his name became linked to vehicles connected to the surveyor’s assassination. The defendant allegedly purchased the scooter and car using two fake tax identification numbers, which he then handed over to the surveyor’s killer.
The defendant was subsequently questioned by the presiding judge about purchasing the car used in the surveyor’s murder. “I was given a tax ID number by P… to go buy him a car. I didn’t pay attention, I did it as a favor. I didn’t receive any money for it. I have nothing to do with any scooter. I bought the car on behalf of Pavlidis. I took the car and drove it somewhere in Galatsi. I bought the car under my own name without hiding or concealing my identity,” he claimed.
Presiding Judge: If what you’re telling us is true, then P. is implicated in the murder…
Defendant: I was just doing a job, I went and bought him a car as he requested.
The defendant further claimed that on the day of the surveyor’s murder, he was in his village in Lepenou, Aetolia-Acarnania. “There was a festival, after two or three days I came to Athens for some business he had,” he stated.
Earlier, at the trial’s opening, the first defendant, alleged to be the killer, requested and was given the floor. “I want to say something more about this underworld I encountered in prison. I have nothing to do with them. Their mentality is no different from that of a pedophile. This society of thugs is so filthy! They may not go after children, but they kill each other over a shop, brother kills brother. Terrible things happen. I would also like to return to something about my phone. It contained videos from Milan and Crete where I was at a wedding and fired shots with my left hand. Where are these videos? They haven’t brought them to you,” the 45-year-old added, who testified yesterday in court and denied involvement in the surveyor’s murder.
Presiding Judge: What are we supposed to see, sir, your trips to Milan?
Defendant: To see that I was shooting with my left hand. Also bring the recording from Bakopoulou Street to show that I never put any scooter in the parking lot.
