Security camera footage from the early hours of Friday (14/11) captured the moment when a man attempted to steal Christmas decorations from a house yard in Retziki, Thessaloniki.

According to thestival.gr, the perpetrator removed decorations and lights from two single-family homes on Papanikolaou Avenue. Eventually, a resident’s shouts forced him to interrupt the theft and abandon his attempt.
Thessaloniki: Christmas lights worth 300 euros stolen
In the footage, the man can be seen stumbling and falling to the ground while trying to disconnect the cable of a Christmas tree. Immediately after, he attempts to leave but struggles to climb over the fence railings.
Eventually he gets into his car and flees. However, he had already managed to load it with decorations and lights worth approximately 300 euros.
