The 17-year-old girl who suffered a vicious attack by stray dogs in Argos on Friday morning underwent surgery on her head. According to an announcement from Argolida Hospital, where the girl was transferred after the attack, the surgery was performed to repair serious wounds she sustained to her scalp, with the minor now hospitalized but out of danger.

«Today at 08:20 a.m., a 17-year-old patient was brought to the Emergency Department of the Argos Organic Unit with her relatives, suffering from multiple dog bites. Due to the severity of her scalp injuries, the patient was immediately admitted to surgery for surgical repair of the wounds. She is hospitalized out of danger in the Surgical Clinic of the Argos Organic Unit.

The incident occurred near the Ancient Theater, with four stray dogs attacking the 17-year-old while she was walking to school. The Municipality of Argos-Mycenae responded immediately. Deputy Mayor Vasilis Karavidas, leading a special team, located and captured one of the dogs, while efforts continue to locate the remaining three.
